Saudamini Deo is a writer and translator, working between four languages: Hindi, Bengali, English, and French. Her translations of Bhuwaneswar’s short stories, Wolves and Other Stories, and Rajkamal Chaudhary’s short stories, Traces of Boots on Tongue and Other Stories, have been published by Seagull Books. 
Her next literary translation of Alok Dhanwa’s cult poetry collection, The World is Made Up Every Day, has recently been published by Seagull. She is the co-founding editor of RIC Journal and her debut book of essays on Kali temples, Kali’s Tongue, is forthcoming soon. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate at the Université Paris Cité.
